Career description

Dentistry is the science that studies the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the oral cavity in its several components: dental pieces, tissues that cover them, temporomandibular joint.

What will you learn during the program?

All students who choose a career in dentistry will be prepared to prevent and solve the most common pathological processes in the oral cavity. Thus, the students of the Faculty of Dentistry will be prepared in the basic sciences, which will allow them to analyze the effects of oral health in the human body, to analyze the characteristics of materials for dental use and their function in dental tissues, as well as in the sciences of dentistry, which will train them to carry out adequate prevention, diagnosis and treatment plans.

The applicants to study the career of Dentist Surgeon must be persons with human qualities, responsible, ethical, self-educated, willing to work in a team, critical thinking, manual skills. They should have a basic knowledge of natural and social sciences and scientific method. They also should have knowledge in the English language for translating and understanding scientific articles. They should have time to participate in extracurricular, cultural and artistic activities.
