The Master's Degree in Computer Forensic Analysis is an advanced program designed to train specialists trained in identifying, preserving, recovering and analyzing information stored in electronic devices, in order to use it in investigative processes. Throughout the master's degree, students are introduced to the forensic analysis of systems and databases, learning meticulous techniques for the acquisition and replication of data without altering the evidence. Courses such as Ethical Hacking and penetration testing prepare students with skills to identify and exploit vulnerabilities in systems for the purpose of improving security before malicious actors do. Computer auditing and IT law are pillars that complement the training, providing a solid foundation in legal regulations and quality standards.

What will you learn during the program?

Master's Degree students will learn to plan diagnostic and action projects, research design, as well as to integrate research and intervention teams. In addition, students will be provided with tools and experiences that allow them to identify the relevant issues and problems of computer forensic audit and analysis and to solve them efficiently, ethically and with the required discretion. Furthermore, they will understand and interpret the computer forensic audit and analysis results efficiently and will be able to submit technical reports.

Information Systems Engineering students of Universidad Mariano Gálvez de Guatemala who have completed the curriculum may choose to enroll in the Master's Degree in Computer Forensic Analysis by presenting the certification of completion of the degree program or the corresponding application password.
