The Master's Degree in Industrial Safety aims to train comprehensive professionals, through fundamentals, methodologies, prevention and management techniques, in the field of industrial safety engineering. Additionally, it addresses the most relevant international standards in order to function in a work environment with healthy and sustainable working conditions.

What will you learn during the program?

The professional will know important concepts and applications about the meaning, interpretation and implementation of management systems related to quality, environment, safety and health at work, as well as what is related to certification and accreditation processes related to standards international ISO.

Professionals oriented to Industrial Safety, strengthen their training, conducting research, applying quantitative, statistical and mathematical methods in decision making and analysis of economic, financial and humanistic phenomena.

The professional will obtain the knowledge and skills to properly apply Risk Prevention in the industrial and commercial environment, as well as in administrative areas that allow the identification and description of the most significant accidents related to fires and explosions.

In management areas, it allows the professional to know and interpret techniques related to the perspectives of finances, clients, internal processes, and learning, in order to allow, through its application, better results and projection of companies and institutions.

It will allow the professional to analyze the basic relationship of the person in the work areas to determine the effects on the individual, productivity and environment. It provides knowledge on composition and functioning of the body and the impact on the health of workers.

The future student must have completed undergraduate studies in Engineering, Business Administration or other related careers (prior interview with the Program Director).

Upon completing the Master's program in Industrial Safety, the participants will be able to:

• Competitively cover management and administration positions related to industrial safety in the industry in general.

• Prepare diagnoses and evaluations of the conditions of industrial safety, work environment, occupational health, risk prevention and community relations.

• Apply and classify the types of latent risk of industrial safety and occupational risk prevention, occupational health and community relations according to the guidelines, as well as the Guatemalan legal regulatory framework.
