Brief description of the degree program

Postgraduate studies will equip future specialists to develop the business skills needed to seize opportunities for starting new businesses, innovating with new products, generating income, creating jobs and improving the quality of life of the local population.

AdmissionProfile

The program is aimed at two specific target groups:

  • 1. Graduates of Mariano Gálvez University: professionals who have graduated from any of the programmes belonging to the Faculty of Management Sciences, including those who have only completed their pensum. However, they must present their bachelor's degree prior to graduating from the master's program.
  • 2. Graduates from other legally constituted universities in Guatemala: Graduates of any bachelor's degree programme are eligible to apply.


Graduate'sProfile

Graduates of the program will be specialists in Administrative Sciences, characterised by the following attributes: creativity and implementation skills (establishing and implementing new doctrines, institutions, practices, or customs); the ability to devise and carry out new ideas; a willingness to take risks; a commitment to their own prosperity (manifested through perseverance and optimism), as well as to society; and an independent mindset.

What will students learn in this degree program?

The Business Entrepreneurship specialist will acquire the theoretical, practical and attitudinal knowledge that will enable them to demonstrate the fundamental skills necessary for business success. These include strategic vision, financial management, communication skills, leadership and team management, adaptability and flexibility, critical thinking and problem solving, creativity and innovation, market knowledge, networking and relationship building, as well as ethics and social responsibility.

Career field

The Master in Business Entrepreneurship can be defined as the person who combines resources, labor, materials, and other assets for the production of goods and services. They contribute to the development of their local area, generating income and employment, as well as improving the quality of life of the inhabitants.
