The Master's Degree in Pediatrics trains students in the branch of medicine that provides medical care for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases and injuries in childhood, including infants, children and adolescents.

The career includes all pathology that a child may suffer, whether medical or surgical.

What will you learn during the program?

During the Master's degree in Pediatrics, you will acquire a solid knowledge base in the basic sciences essential to effectively identify findings during the clinical evaluation of pediatric patients. In addition, you will develop the ability to assess the developmental pattern of children and participate in child health promotion programs. You will learn to correlate clinical findings with complementary examinations in various pediatric pathologies, applying strategies for the management of prevalent childhood diseases in daily practice. The ability to carry out research projects in the pediatric population, both at the outpatient and institutional level, will be a fundamental skill. Furthermore, the application of ethical principles in all practice situations will be emphasized and the development of leadership and management skills in pediatric services, contextualized in the epidemiology of the country, evidence-based medicine, renewed primary health care and cultural relevance, thus ensuring quality and warmth in pediatric care, will be encouraged.
