To enter the Universidad Mariano Gálvez de Guatemala, applicants must meet formal requirements such as being a high school graduate and have all the certificates that accredit this, they must pass a placement evaluation in which they determine their basic knowledge of writing, reading, spelling, numerical and logical ability, among other aspects.

In terms of personality, an interdisciplinary team evaluates aspects such as emotional development, temperament, development and above all principles and values. Students must adhere to the specific admission requirements established by the University, which are:

1) Passed placement assessment.

2) To have the general certification of basic studies and diversified studies in original.

3) Completion of the curriculum in original.

4) Photostat of the degree in size 5 X 7.

5). Two passport-size photographs.

6) Photocopy of the DPI (if a minor, photocopy of the birth certificate).

7) Payment of registration fee.

The graduate will be a skilled and competent professional in the field of criminology, public and private security and justice.

The criminologist handles interdisciplinary criteria in the field of psychocriminology that allow him/her to infer the reasons behind criminal behaviour. He/she is suitable for group management, following induction by the company or public institution.

The professionals of the School of Criminological and Criminalistic Sciences have a graduate profile rich in psychosocial and criminological training, and are highly qualified to work in institutions such as the Public Prosecutor's Office, the Police, Victim Care Centres and criminal investigation institutions.
