Career description

The PhD in Constitutional Law prioritizes constructivist methodologies such as case analysis, jurisprudence analysis or Socratic seminars. Furthermore, research and academic writing will also be prioritized as the main way to evaluate progress in learning.

The overall methodologies outlined above are intended to enable doctoral students to acquire or strengthen the essential competencies for the delivery of prompt, compliant, quality and consistent constitutional justice in a constitutional state of law.

What will you learn during the program?

During the PhD in Constitutional Law, students will develop an advanced level of understanding in legal and juridical phenomena related to constitutional law and the structure of the State. The program will provide a solid background in research and teaching, using scientific methods to address the in-depth study of constitutional law. Participants will contribute to legal development with original findings supported by rigorous analysis in key areas such as Theory of Law, Legal Hermeneutics and Argumentation, Sociology of Criminal Law, Crime Scene, Crime Theories, Comparative Criminal Systems, Evidence Law, Forensic Sciences, Criminal Procedure, Analytical Jurisprudence, Interrogation Techniques, Digital Evidence, International Criminal Law, Case Theory, and the approach to New Criminality. This comprehensive approach will allow students to contribute significantly to the advancement of legal knowledge and the solution of current problems in areas such as environmental crimes, corruption, political crimes, crimes of public officials, corporate crimes and organized crime.
