To enter the Mariano Gálvez University of Guatemala, the applicant must meet formal requirements, such as being a graduate of undergraduate studies and having all the certificates that accredit him or her, and undergo an interview in which the director of the School and the interested party discuss their perspectives on the career and the scope of it.

1. Photostat of the degree that accredits the academic degree of licenciado.

2. Show the original degree certificate to corroborate the records and stamps of the degree.

3. Two recent passport-size photographs, printed on matte paper, without any kind of gloss, not snapshots, with the name and date written on the back.

4. Photocopy of personal identification document or passport for foreigners, and show the original.

5. Payment of registration fee.


Graduate'sProfile

The graduate will have specialised at a higher level in forensic science and will be familiar with the criminal approach to this science. They will have the ability to manage investigation strategies within the respective legal framework.

They will be able to direct and carry out the logical, critical and constructive analysis of criminal acts in a proactive manner, and will be able to handle the management entrusted to them in a consultancy, advisory or directional manner.

He/she will have the ability to perform in the management of criminalistic situations, typical of the justice sector and of organisations or companies.

Career Opportunities

You will be able to advise, consult, and manage in the field of security and justice, as well as in the prevention and containment of crime and criminal phenomena. You will be able to handle the statistical aspect of criminal offenses and extract from them the unseen aspects by means of critical analysis.

Able to work at the institutional level, in private companies and non-governmental organizations in the above-mentioned areas.
